The Kinkaid Wrestling team traveled to Lehigh University February 23-24 to compete at the 83rd Prep National Tournament. Up against the most talented high school wrestlers in the nation, two seniors came away as All-Americans.

Noah Chan '18 became a two-time an All-American with an 8th place finish in the 160 pound weight division, while Colin Lawler '18 also earned two-time All-American status after winning the heavyweight division at 285 pounds. Chan previously placed third as sophomore in 2016 and Lawler placed fourth as a junior last season.

Lawler also made history by becoming the first student to win a national title from the Houston area, going undefeated in the regular season and winning all five of his matches at the tournament. This accomplishment led him to winning the Ray Mendoza award for most individual team points by an athlete.

Congratulations to the entire wrestling team and coaches for their hard work this season! Check out some of the photos from the tournament below.
